The Big Bang Theory Stars Recreate Inside Joke After Epic 26-Year Throwback on Conan

One of The Big Bang Theory’s most delightfully surprising real-life connections involves two of its biggest cast members sharing a hidden history that predates the hit show by nearly two decades.

Long before they played Amy Farrah Fowler and Leonard Hofstadter, Mayim Bialik and Johnny Galecki actually shared their very first on-screen romance—and a hilarious appearance on Conan brought that history back to life in the most beautifully awkward way possible.

A First Kiss at 14 Years Old

Mayim Bialik and Johnny Galecki first locked lips on an episode of the popular 1990s sitcom Blossom when they were both just 14 years old. Remarkably, it served as the first stage kiss for both of the young actors.

As Bialik later recalled while sitting on Conan O’Brien’s couch, the milestone was even bigger than that. “It might have been my first real-life kiss also,” she admitted.

The classic episode, titled “Sex, Lies and Teenagers,” featured a young Galecki as one of two boys that characters Blossom and Six sneaked off with to attend a party.

“Do It Again!” — The Hilarious Live Recreation

During a special group appearance on Conan, host Conan O’Brien blindsided the actors by producing a throwback photo of their teenage kiss.

The cast instantly erupted. Sidekick Andy Richter wasted no time poking fun at Galecki’s 90s wardrobe, joking: “Mayim, were you mad he got the nicer blouse?”

As the crowd cheered, co-star Kunal Nayyar shouted what everyone in the audience was thinking: “Do it again!” Meanwhile, Jim Parsons looked around in mock disbelief and quipped, “What kind of show is this?”

Despite initially refusing and laughing through the awkwardness, Bialik and Galecki eventually gave in to the pressure, standing up to recreate their historic childhood kiss decades later on live television.

To keep the hilarious gag going, Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco also leaned into each other, attempting their own dramatic on-screen lip-lock, leaving the audience in absolute stitches.
